Children's Street Party
Jubilee Hall, 4pm - 6pm
(For children up to the age of 10)

In May 1945 many children in the UK celebrated the end of the war with street parties. As the Festival is held in October the chances of warm weather to match May are limited so there will be an indoor street party this afternoon at the Jubilee Hall between 4 and 6. Children up to the age of 10 are welcome to come along and take part. There will be food (loosely) based on what was served in 1945, entertainment and the opportunity to do some craft activities that children in the era did in their spare time. Fancy dress is optional but there will be a competition. Prizes will be awarded in two categories, one for the 4s and under and one for the 5s and over.
